Here is a piece that I did for practice on hair and eye brows and of course much more practice for my painting abilities. Decided with all of the hair on his face what better name than HARRY. I never carved before 4 months ago but I am loving it. Wished I would have tried it years ago.

He looks good Mike. I think the coloring is good too. I’m glad for you that you have found a woodworking niche that you really enjoy a lot. I love carving, but I have never been very good at it, plus it hurts my hands. It’s a very creative skill and you seem to have a talent for it.

Carving is fun….... fun carving! Reminds me of Cousin ‘It’. Are you using power tools are knives and gouges?

-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)

This is a really nice carving. I like his eyes and expression.

Thanks for all the comments. I remember Cousin “It” could be his brother. I am using knives and gouges on these.

Have a great day.

That’s cool, I like it.
