Made this for my 4 year-old’s Pre-K class. It’s 3/4” clear pine with pocket screw joinery. I can’t stress enough how much I use my Kreg pocket hole jig… The only finish I put on it was a few coats of clear poly (I don’t have any pictures post-poly). I did all the design and cutting at home. I put it together during a lesson on woodworking I did for the kids in their class.

That’s a nice design. I have a pocket screw jig but don’t use it much. I’m curious how tight they stay over time. I know they can be tightened but…

I cranked out a few shop projects recently like a shelf for under my assembly table and couple of jigs, and the Kreg jig makes them in no time flat.
And if you add glue to the joint and let the screws draw it together, it is permanent ! lol
Nice job on the bench Andy.
Bet the Pre-K class loves your work too !

Thanks for sharing, it’s lovely. I also think it’s awesome about the lesson you did for the kids.
Have your say...
