This is a swing I built for our house. We placed it so it overlooks our pond. I got the plans from www.buildeazy.com. I modified the plans a little by making the swing wider and I think I made the A-frame a little longer too. Thanks for looking

Nice swing, I wan something like that for my house. It look like you used all pressure treated lumber, yes?

Marty and Don thanks for the comments. Marty you are right. Cedar would be my first choice but a little harder to come by and more expensive. So pressure treated is my backup. I usually finish it with a stain and preservative in one if its going outside. This swing doesn’t have the preservative yet cause I like to give them a little time for the boards to dry completely.

I love this swing. I still have the plans and it is on my to-do-list, hopefully this summer.

Thanks Ryan, I can’t wait to see how it looks sitting in your yard.

Nice work looks great. I’m sure it will get some good use out there by the pond.
