this was the first attempt at making anything out of my shop, I have since purchased tools that were essential such as a table saw and now have plans to make another stool from a book I purchased recently.

Congrats on jacob34 serial # 1!!!!!

BTW: Welcome to LJs, a great place to feed your sawdust psychosis!!!

I have just set up my shop. My first project is an ambient air cleaner. Then perhaps a few shop jigs & fixtures, all so that I can create my first “real” project.

Again, congrats on your best project ever!!!

Hey I know the jig and fixture desire, I watched videos for accouple months before I got the tools to be able to finish the projects I wanted to During which I saw five or six jigs I decided I had to build. good luck on your future projects.

dusty the wood is some old stuff I scavenged from my dad’s garage no idea what it was. the stool is 3/4 wide stock, the stool is 9” tall, 8” wide and 12” long. I did not finish it honestly I spray painted it with a rattle can of paint I had left over from Halloween.

my first project was a 5 board stool that is still in daily use 15+ years later – and it looks no where near as nice as yours – great job!

Being vertically challenged, I appreciate a good stool, and this looks like a good stool!
I also have seen more jigs, add-ons, and ideas here in the last few months then I could build in a year!

Conga-ratz on your first completed project, here’s to many more!
