This is a chest of drawers I made for a long time friend of mine. It is made from Ky Coffee Bean lumber. I installed top of the line Blumotion soft close drawer slide and the knobs were special ordered just for him. The tree was fallen in a storm a couple of years back. We cut and pulled the tree out and had it sawed. It was finally dry enough to work and this is one of the pieces I have made out of it.

Looks great, I have yet to saw down my own logs but really want to.
Did you use wood tracks for the drawers or hardware under there somewhere?

Love the design. Love the look of the grain. Love the choice of hardware.

But the knobs—porcelain ?—just knock it out of the park, for me.

Really great.

Thanks for sharing !

Thanks guys.

The drawer slides are Blum Tandem with Blumotion.

The knobs are porcelain with a Red White and Blue Eagle on them. Ok I know that might be a little tacky but it has a big meaning to the person that received this chest of drawers. It had to be done and I am proud of the final product and it netted me a big fat check to boot!

Nicely done. I really like the grain and the way it shows up in the third picture.

That is some mesmerizing grain, absolutely flat sawn and flowing. The white knobs give high contrast relief. He’ll be real happy with the Blumotion many years down the road when wood slides would have had the bun.
