This is really one of my first big projects. I gave it to my mother last Christmas. She had been wanting one for a long time so I decided to do it. It is 36 inches wide, tall back rocker. I have made a circle jig for my bandsaw but needed a way to cut rockers on it. It will cut up to about 25 inch radius my itself but that isn’t enough “rocker” to rock smooth. I then added a scrap peice of wood about 4 1/2 foot long with another 1/4 inch peg like I use on the circle jig. It gives me the ability to get about a 50 inch radius which is good because about 48inch radius gives a good rock. I can show you a pick of the jig if yal want, I know that explanation was terrible but it works great.
I frame of the chair is full demension cedar 2×4s, I had no plans for this chair just had to look at a few pictures and started. It’s not perfect but your mother would love it if it was upside down. Thanks for looking.
