This is the inside of an earlier project I just finished and will be packing it up to ship. The inside top is a shadow box made of bloodwood with a black felt background to display the ricipients medals and ribbons including the purple heart. The tray is black walnut sides and handle with paduk onder the cutter and a bottom of spanish cedar. The cutter and gauge reminded me of the basic outline of the center of the badge so I tried to carry that out a little more with the vent holes as the lower wreat then added a decorative bit i the corners to allow more venilation. I also had the bomb buzzard and pickaxe emblem done in poduk and on a keyring (the emblem was specifically requested but I couldn’t find one to purchase, so I made one up from a picture and had it lasered.

That is the coolest humidor I have ever seen. I like the shadow box inside, very nice.

My wife has been picture framer for 30 years, I’ve been doing custom cabinetry for over 25 and I smoke cigars. I love this humidor! Beautiful!

Thanks for the praise, I don’t make that many of these because they take a lot of time but they are worth the time. As far as the price, it was paid in full by the hero it was made for in his service to our country. I normally put anything above my cost into the Wounded EOD Warrior fund and providing humidors for the EOD memorial auction anyway, in this case it went to a worthy person directly.

Very clever design. Very impressive execution on the design. Even more impressive act of generosity!
