Hi All,
This is a “magic wand” I made for my son, Quin. In addition, it is my first “nonpen” item on the lathe. I made the handle out of mahogany and the wand section is made of maple.

I finished it with an orange/beeswax finish….....I don’t feel like going downstairs right now to check the name of the brand, will add later.

It is about 18 inches in length.

Thanks for looking,
Matt

Nice proportions and wood contrast. ...............Can I have the dollar?

That is a pretty cool project. I do have to ask however, since I grew up in a family with two other brothers… has it been used as a sword yet? :) We always had to put a nice round end on everything because everything eventually became some sort of sword.

Great work, looks good!
