This is my first attempt at carving a spoon. It came out ok but I really need to work on symetry. I made it from the green limb of someting I found in the woods. I think it is a birch but not certain. Thanks for looking.

Not bad at all, for a first spoon. In fact, there is room there to attack the bowl of it again and refine the shape. If you feel it needs improvement, you’re not done yet! (go ahead, ask me how I know this.)

Looking really good…..be inspired for this only being your first spoon. Nice work!

Good looking start. Who says they have to be symmetrical? I like the ‘angled’ neck to give it strength.
-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)

Fine job….you may want to look at my first spoon. Yours looks better to me.
