February, 2012—What wood is this? I had a problem in my shop and my labels got out of order. I think this is bubinga. Anyway, it is a beautiful wood to work with and the look at. This was a fun box to build. Nothing tricky or unusual in the construction. Tung oil finish.

Art, this look fantastic.

The curves int he grain play off the curves in the box very well.

Great box!

You have made a few of these. The progression and inovation is clear as I looked through your projects. I like your color choices and the movement of your pieces. Art that functions?

Saw the sofa table. Nice lines as well. Have you considered Integrating the two concepts?

I’ve never seen Bubinga in those colors , but the box itself is beautifully shaped and finished : )

Well done, our design has highlighted the grain which is why bandsawn boxes sell !

I would score this box 8 out of 10 ! Very impressive.

I dont think that is bubinga, it looks like tigerwood. Either way that is a beautiful box.

I don’t think it’s bubinga but whatever it is, it’s sure pretty. Great box.
