Here are the new guys that have recently arrived.
The ones on the end were a snap to assemble.
Not so with the Gemini. I was missing parts and the instructions are terrible.
Got the parts today and figured it out.

Cool looking pens, what wood did you use in the middle one? Looks like birds eye maple.

-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.

Nice!

Saw those shock absorber pens in a catalog. Wondered if they would be hard to assemble.

The middle one has a maple burl as Martin noted. The kit is a bit different to assemble.
The shock absorber has received mixed reviews. Most of the people I showed it to just thought is was a spring and did not recognize it for a shock absorber. The ones used today look a lot different.
The one on the right is called a buffalo bullet pencil. Easy to make and has an interesting story as well.
