I had a few pieces of scrap wood so I decided to put togather a box for my Bride’s crochet hooks. I used Lace wood, maple and Canary for the box and Padauk, Maple and Wenge’ for the hook holder. Five coats of poly to finish it off.

This is nice box. The maple keys contrast nicely with the padauk. The box’s interior is simply gorgeous.

What an excellent way to use up scraps! That is really nice looking. I like the personalization on the top.
