End tables for the family room as you can see. There are rumblings about a coffee table to match now after ” no way do I want a coffee table” . It will be a while coming as spring is arriving and that always cuts down on the shop time. Thanks for looking.

Very well done Les. I really like these. Mission/Arts&Crafts style I presume… Did you find your inspiration in any particular article/magazine that you could share? Any details on the wood, finishing techniques, etc?

Great job Les. I like the design. It looks like the cat is admiring it too.

Very nice Les, The fruits of hard labour. Very tidy work. I am impressed and looking forward to doing the same some day. As soon as I can get my shop finished. Congratulations on another job well done.

Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. Mike, the inspiration comes from Stickley, which as you know has been AC for over a 100 years. There older stuff isn’t quits my style but we really like their 21st century line. So I just find something we like in their catalog and start drawing.

The construction is cherry and I use a 3/4” square down each side of the triangle corners to tie everything together. The squares spindles on each side are mortise and tenon.

The finish schedule is BLO, 2 thin coats of garnet shellac, and 10 coats of lacquer, I let it cure for at least a week and then rub it out with Mirco Mesh sandpaper.

I hope that sheds some light on everything.

I love your shop: bright, windowed, and as clean as a surgical suite!

Thanks Paul and all, hell the rhymes, I do love the shop, but you just can’t see the dust in the corners. The wife is working on that today. LOL

Thanks again
