This my recently completed bayou scene intarsia. It is made from cherry, poplar, eastern red cedar, blue pine, sweet gum, and aspen with a barn siding frame. I plan on entering this in a local art contest.

That looks really nice. Did you design this yourself from a picture? How many pieces? Definitely a winner!

Interesting choice of frame, sharp contrast from the image.

Thank you. I used a combination of 3 pictures of the stork, turtle, and house. I arranged them on my tracing paper and hand drew the rest around the stork, turtle and house. The frame is old barn siding from my parents farm. I really enjoy making my own patterns instead of buying them. It makes the end product much more satisfying.

This is very nicely done and is a real eye catcher. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.
