Bought 2 gate hanger bolts 7/16 with nuts and washers for $1.05 total with tax. Some scrap plywood and a piece of 2×4 an I now have a nice new sacrificial fence. It’s a whole lot easier to work with than clamps. The large nuts work great finger tight. I may make them into proper knobs if needed.

Good idea Bill ,that’s a lot cheaper than the store bought type.

That is a fine addition to the shop. Good job.

What a great idea, you can make the fence any height you I would think and even make several of them, thanks for sharing

Thanks jocks for the nice comments. Fence can be easily changed. Only the plywood is damaged and I can replace it to any height needed.

I like the fact that you came up with an inexpensive homemade solution. Guys like yourself that would rather build their way out of a need rather than buy their way out have my admiration :) If you don’t mind I would like to borrow your idea!!

I like it and would like to barrow your idea if I may for the Router Table app too.

I just traveled 30 miles and bought a pair at Rockler for $20, and now you show me this.

I am building a new one that will be easier to make. It cost a little more $5.00 but it’s not my idea. I saw it on the internet ( where else ) I want to share it with all the jocks out there. Stay tuned. A big thanks to all for the great comments. Anyone is welcome to use, copy, improve on anything I post. I like being able to share.
