I saw one of these on YouTube and had to make one (two actually).
The World’s Most Useless Machine; you turn it on and it turns itself off. That’s it.
I ordered the electrical parts kit from Frivolous Engineering. I had to solder the circuit board and assemble all of the components, then I built a simple cedar box for it. It operates on two AA batteries (not included).

I just love these! And you made a beautifull version!

I don’t reckon I’ve ever seen one of these but at least you made a nice box for it.

Nice touch with the colored LEDs. One of these days I’ll build one of those. :)

Useless? Are you kidding me? First of all, it turns itself off. Second, it turns itself off. Third, it turns itself off. Fourth, it turns itself off. I wouldn’t get bored with that for a while.

That is hysterical! I love it! And well built!
Boy I almost just ordered the innerds, but $12 for shipping seems excessive to me and rubs me the wrong way.

OKAY….............Beautiful color in that cedar. What happens when the batteries wear out.. It must stay on!!!!!!!!!! That sounds like an oxy-moron
