So these are padauk caps that will be placed in 13 Green and Green inspired Dug Fur doors. The first picture is the finished 52 caps. I used a router table to make the bevels on the tops. Marked my depth, and then used a jig I made to hold the shaft flat as I cut them. (Repeat x 51)
Pictures of doors soon to follow.

It took me a minute to realize that the block was used to catch the plug as it is cut off in the miter saw. That beats chasing them all over the shop when they break free. Generally I used my table saw, movedthe fence back and then put a carboard box up to act as a back stop. I think you idea is far superior. I have many more G&G plugs that need to be cut for the various projects I have. Thanks for sharing the idea.

Thanks Earl,
I figured out that I can pump these out if they are 1/2 square and I hace mutiple sticks. I route both ends of say five sticks. Mark them, stick them in the jig to my mark and cut. Now I have ten finished plugs.

You can’t really see the shop, but I would like to spend more time there. I would probably get more done, make more saw dust.
