I built this deck four years ago at my previous residence. The plans came from an issue of Family Handyman that my mother (moonls) forwarded to me. 12×12 deck with a pressure treated frame and composite decking supported on concrete blocks. The only custom feature I added was the built-in bench on the side closest to the house. If I had one chance to go back and redo this project, I would have chosen to use hidden deck fasteners.

You did a nice job because this deck was not only well-built but it turned an uneven and unsightly patch of concrete & weeds into a nice picnic and play area!

Nice job. I once did a deck like that using that same material and I agree, I wish I had used the concealed fasteners.

@Jim Finn—I did use them on a later deck project and was very pleased with the results. Thanks for the nice post!
