Just a small quick carving. Carved from the butt of a blacktail deer antler mounted on a cedar base . The piece of antler is about as big around as your thumb. When I’m getting ready to start bigger projects, sometimes I just like doing something small just to get the juices flowing.

It looks great. I have done some work with antler on my lathe and hate the way it makes my shop smell for weeks.

Nice work Steve. I find that the little projects get my creative juices going also. RH

You carvers just amaze me! This is so lifelike with the classic ‘stern’ expression.
