I used some reclaimed lumber from an old horse farm in Palmyra, VA to create this table for a friend. Pulled the wood off the land owner’s burn pile. Delivered it when I went to my friend’s home for a dinner party and another guest commissioned me to build a dinning room table when he saw it. Nothing like being in the right place at the right time. Lightly surfaced, breadboard ends, tapered legs, three coats of satin poly.

That old reclaimed oak looks so cool with the black nail holes in it, sweet job on the tapered legs too.

Great job Clay. I like that you “saved” the wood to become a beautiful table. Did you miss any nails? Always afraid of that when plaining old wood even after scanning. Can you post the dinning table whendone? love to see it. Jerry
