I wasn’t very happy with the table that I had made. It was not as sturdy as I would have liked and I didn’t like the hardware that I had used. I made it quickly and it showed.

So, back into the shop she came. I added an apron (Cocobolo with a natural edge). The apron is secured with screws which are covered with Purpleheart plugs. The Purpleheart contrasts great with the Elm legs. On the lower shelf I removed the steel L-brackets that had supported it and replaced them with more Cocobolo.

The table now looks better and is much more sturdy. Now it is a table that I am proud to have my name on.

That’s very very nice. Love the purpleheart plugs.

Looks like you originally wanted it to….like a piece of art.
