Live Edge Avocado pedestal bowl

This is a live edge pedestal bowl made from avocado wood. I decided the grain was to good in this one to cover up with dye, so I left it natural and gave it a few coats of wipe on poly.

The bowl measures about 9 inches in diameter, and is about 6 inches tall.

It’s beautiful. I’ve been wanting to get some burl and try something like this, but I simply have no time. I have to produce some pieces that get income quickly.

This took me about 3 hours of turning and sanding. Finish was done over two days. Turning is a very immediate satisfaction hobby.
