Red Cedar Picnic Table

This a picnic table I built from 2 cedar trees cut down by county workers.

I cut 4 eight foot logs about 8” in diameter and sawed them for this table.The table is 8 feet long .

Finish is minwax spar urethane. Love that cedar!

Nice table, I have never seen one with such nice looking red cedar. What’s the finish?

Martyroc, It’s finished with Minwax Helmsman spar urethane, gives the sapwood a slight amber glow but allows the red to show thru beautifly.

Thanks bowtie, the wood is just naturally beautiful as is, but very nice with the sheen on it.

Stunning finish. It would be nice to see a picture further back. Great stuff.
