This is the dresser I made for my daughter. It’s made of pine, stained cherry. This was the first time I had ever made dovetailed drawers:

They ended up being nice and sturdy, but unfortunately a little too wide. So I had to change my plans to use side mount drawer slides to use under mount.

My wife came up with the design, and I fleshed it out. She’s pleased with the results, so I’m happy.

That’s pretty nice! And made the wife happy, always a plus. Have you considered adding a side rail, so the girl doesn’t squirm off the top, the minute mom isn’t looking, or moves away for a second?

Mom didn’t want a side rail, I offered. Of course, I’ve already had to retrieve baby socks from between it and the wall.

Very nice design! Plenty of storage and the dove tales look good and tight!

Good dovetails for your first. It’s a nice design and good job.
