My granddaughter wanted a castle bed so this is what she got for christmas, this bed has 2 hidden cubbies that she can hide her special things in, has drawers in the steps, has a ton of book shelves and electric ran through it for all her little lamps, has lights in the head board so she can read or do homework, this can be used as a single bed or as bunk beds, but she uses the top area as a play area, you go up the steps across the top and there is a slide to go down, fun all year long. Hard to get good pictures when the bed takes up most of the room.

I had to close my laptop before my daughter saw that. You need to post a warning!! WOW…That is hands down the coolest little girl bed (or creepiest grown man’s bed) that I have EVER seen. Nice attenion to detail with the little stone patterns around the windows and whatnot. Seriously, Stan, Very well done my friend.

Fantastic ! Magic ! It’s like having disneyland at home !
A technical question : Is it plywood or MDF ? and how did you assemble it ? It looks very secure. But I would like your advice before trying to build a dream castle+slide for my own girl. Thanks ! And if you have some plans to share, that would be awesome. Thanks again.

Francois, this is all birch plywood and solid pine, the only mdf on this bed is the top of the castle were it is purple and the bottom base thats purple, the upper bunk is held up by the octagon tower, a square 1 behind it, the book case tower and the book case head board on the bed, the bed comes apart in 9 major pieces and a bunch of little ones. No i dont have any plans for it, my plans i built it from were just some simple line drawing that I did on graff paper if you send me your email address i can copy them and send them to you that way, but they are not much. It is very secure, we had several adults on it and it didnt even move or sway, it just does not move, very sturdy, my granddaughter told me to make very sturdy so she can have for her kids, the 2nd bed I made has more mdf but not by choice, its a ( tinkerbell based bed) fairy bed, DONT over wax the side, i did and when my 28 year old daughter went down it she landed with a thump
