A while back my wife saw some bamboo drawer liners for utensils. She liked them so much I made a set for our two main drawers.
The flat ware drawer and the “junk” drawer.
The material is out of 1/4” bamboo ply and finished with a mineral oil/bees wax finish.
It was my first time working with bamboo and I really enjoyed it.
The joinery is box joints and dados.
They fit like a glove and are very useful.

Thanks for looking,

They look good! It’s always better when everything has it’s own place!

Darn sight more classy than the plastic ones.
Nice job.

When you bought the plywood, there were a couple of remarks made about how hard the bamboo was
on tools. How was it to work with? The drawer liners look great, and being made to fit the drawers, you
do not have any of those annoying gaps you get with the store bought liners. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the nice comments folks…
Bluepine88: The bamboo was surprisingly easy to work with. I found it brittle but not in a weak way. It reminded me of working with cherry wood. It’s very strong and light at the same time. I didn’t make enough cuts to see a affect on my blades and bits but I could tell it would take a toll beyond regular wood. I have turned a few pens out of bamboo and there I have seen the toll it takes. However it’s well worth it.
I simply love this material. Well worth a try.
