I got into a chaise lounge building competition with my Dad. I got on a rampage and built almost all of this in one night. For the stain I used two-tone cherry on the borders and a medium wood stain on the slats and legs. I used 2×4’s for the main frame, pine boards for the slats, and a wooden dowel for the back brace. The notches for adjusting the chair were the trickiest part of the project. You can see these pretty well in the second photo. I also built a side table with scrap wood that slides under the chair and brings your drink/ipad/book right above your lap. I bought the cushion from Target for around $30. All together this chair and table cost me around $100.
