Just returned from setting up a toy display at the Chimicum Cafe in Chimicum, Washington. The owner, Brian, allows crafts people to display their items free of charge. I think its amazing that he does this. I’ve displayed a couple years ago. Didn’t sell too many pieces but the free advertisment brought me some business. I wish more business people like Brian were out there. Bookstores and the public library are good places to display small items.

Yes, this is a good idea, Ron. A couple of years ago I took a lovely sunset photo overlooking my local airport here in Pitt Meadows. I had a 16”x20” print made, matted and framed it and signed it. I slightly personally knew the airport manager, so I took the framed print down to the airport just to show it to him.. no intentions of doing business with it. He held it, looked at it, and then asked me if I would like to hang it on the wall in the airport lounge. I was flabbergasted.. didn’t expect that at all. Then he asked me if he could buy an exact framed copy from me, as one of the airport employees was retiring and the manager wanted to give him a framed copy of my print as a retirement gift, so I ordered another print, signed it and sold it to him. My 1st framed print is still hanging in the airport lounge to this day.

the only place around here that has had a sale is ideal saw works and it was more a tool sale and the coffee sucked but this is a great idea if the local coffee shop has enough space

You’ve got a great display of toys there and good on the owner for helping you show off your handiwork…
Good luck with a few more sales.
Cheers, crowie
