This is a project we had to do for a “Working Drawings and Specs” class back in Fall of 2010. Our task was to design a birdhouse and draw out the actual plans that were to be used to build it. We swapped out our birdhouse plans with someone else so we got the experience of using actual plans (made by someone else) to build a project. Luckily, the design I received was a good one and it turned out pretty well. I went to my old HVAC boss and he helped me fabricate the roof from sheet metal. I’m not sure that birds would like such a shiny roof but that’s what the plans called for. Because of my woodworking hobby I already had the tools, skills, and materials needed to complete this project.

Nice, very different working from someone else’s plans, you did a good job.
