This is a ceramic kitchen knife I made for a friend at work. The blade is made of black ceramic (picked it up at my local Woodcraft). The handle is Afzelia Burl. I split the blank on the bandsaw the epoxied the halves back together. I then shaped by hand. The finish is Watco Butcher Block finish.

Brian, I haven’t used it because I made it for someone, but they told be their only complaint was vegetables tend to stick to the blade. I have read elsewhere that these blades will not take any side-load or they will break. So you must use these for chopping and straight-cuts only.
