Basswood. Special toning and carving like old style, wax. The wood which on the background – the special, done like old style. The second photo – my icon, the start of painting. Gold the first layer, preparation for the painting.

Wow, I am not a carver but that’s awesome, I can appreciate the devotion you must have put in to make this piece,

Thanks for all! It’s a natural wax, and all components – are natural. the colour is natural pigment – so it’s looking very realistic.
