I made this cabinet about a year ago, it based on several pegboard wall cabinets that I have seen in almost every wood magazine I have subscription to. I had always wanted to make the version in the mags, but I just didn’t have the wall space. The only space I had was a wall covered with shelving from the previous home owner, so I used the space available. first I built a box out of MDF and some laminated particle board for my saw blades, (I didn’t quite have enough which is why there is a drawer or two missing). Then I built the pegboard cabinet. Since I did not have any door magnets at the time I took a few extra bolts I used to build my daughters swing set and just cit a piece of wood with a slot to make a latch.
I posted this for LJ’ers that have the same space problems I have or worse, it gives access to whats on the shelf and the cabinet in front increases the storage. I remembered to post it from fellow LJ’er Aaron McCain, who did the full size version and it came out really nice. Its for the shop so nothing fancy just practical, and if it helps someone who has a space issues it was worth it.
P.S Only took about an hour to build, but took a lot less time to crap it up ;-)

More storage is always a good thing. I love the overlapping doors. Really useful project, nice job!
