Recently I learned how to make log furniture with the logman tenon maker. However, I did not want to spend the money to buy the tenon maker so I built my own. Once I got everything set correctly it works great. Easy alternative to spending the money on one of these.

I built one a while back that clamps on my router table and it also makes great dowels from square stock. It sure speeds up making rustic bench legs.

Genius. I’ve been looking at tenon cutters for a while now, but I think you’ve just settled the argument for me. Well done.

Nice jig, and great money saver. I am of the same school of though, if I can make it I will not buy it.

What am I missing? For the life of me cannot figure how it works. How is the log held, kept centered, advanced? What bit is used?

Where do you find router bits like that? I have been thinking along this route, but the bit thing has held me back. I really like what you’ve done.
