First peppermill I’ve ever made. I think she turned out to be a beaut. Gave it to my mom who loves it! (scoring big browny points is good with the mumma) As the title indicates its made out of cherry. I used america’s oldest peppermill mechanism,8”. finished by sanding to 600 then 3 coats tried and true danish oil to really bring out the grain and all, plust the wood was suppppperrrr dry and just kept soaking it up. Then 2 coats varathane and claphams beeswax antique polish which is an amazingly effective product and smells fantastic to boot!

Nice looking pepper mill, I really need to start turning again, I feel like I missing out. Oh right lathe’s not working, need to get on that.
