These jewelry boxes were made from plans in an issue of American Woodworker Magazine. The box on the left is Yellowheart and Purpleheart, the box on the right is cocobolo and yellowheart. My original boxes were mirror images of each other: Yellowhear and Purpleheart. The original Purpleheart box sold and I replaced it with the cocobolo. Both boxes have no film finish. They were both waxed and polished using the Beal Buff system on my lathe.

Both are beautiful boxes. Good design and attention to detail.

Another nice design and execution. I like the contrasting bottoms. You must have(or had) a great wood stash.

-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and now time to work!!!

They both look good, nice choice with your contrasting woods.

-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.
