Collaborative effort avocado hollow form

As the title says, this was a collaborative effort.

The wood is from the stash of avocado wood I got from the firewood dealer about a week back.
I turned the vessel, and my wife applied dyes and sanded.

I believe the color came out wonderfully, and this one will be going to work with me to sit on my desk.

Also, I built another light box for taking photos. These look a ton better than the last pics I took, now I just have to dial in my camera.

Comments/Critiques are appreciated.
Thanks,
-Robert

I’m a big Avocado wood fan , a lot of my stuff is in Avocado wood. This is very cool I wouldn’t have guessed that it would have come out so well being turned. You’ve done a great job with this piece.

Your HF are coming out very nice. Great form; and the colouring and finish really make them. Makes me want to pick them up and hold them….......that’s a good thing. If I was to critique anything, I would say the bottom is a bit on the wide side, and maybe it should turn in a bit right at the base…........... But hey what do I know !

Well done.

And the pictures are much nicer as well. Just need to set up the white balance….

Beautiful turning, and your wife did a great job. My wife only comes in the shop to tell me one thing
” stop working and eat something before you pass out dummy”.
