One of my carved planes. About 10 inches long and about 2 inches wide. Its quite light and great for smaller projects. Set up as a Jack Plane for rough cutting. I do all my woodwork by hand and so a plane to quickly reduce smaller pieces of wood down to size is very useful. Also I teach and many women with smaller hands prefer to use it.

The wood is Jarrah and Ebony. Made in the Krenov style with a Bulldog carved on the front knob. I like dogs.

“Go the Doggies” A great job, a real winner.

An appropriate time to post this work, given next week the NRL begins will the Bulldogs get to the 2012 Grand Final?

I think it will be the Warriors turn this year. Good luck to the Bulldogs but they are up against some tough competition.

All my planes have got to work no matter how fancy. Sadly the ones that are sold are often put on a shelf and admired rather than worked. The real beauty is in the way they perform and the owners don’t get to experience this.

Once again, SWEET !

Another nice looking plane. I don’t carve, but your work makes carving interesting.

Thanks!

I wish I had kept this plane but I suppose I can always make another.
