Hey all….I have been searching for a drill press vice and couldn’t believe the cost of them…..sooooo I went a little redneck and made one. I had the pen making clamps, they have a magnet underneath the lip…so that is why I put the nails across the top. I used it and it worked well. Got to love scrap wood!!!!!

Innovative, useful & cheap. Just like me, kinda!!

Nice job, very creative. Now that is outside the “Box Sore” thinking!

Thanks for sharing.

Hey All,
Thanks for the kind words. I have used it all day, drilling out pen blanks…so far so good. I did have to figure out a way to mount it. I didn’t want to actually mount it, more of an “easy to remove” mounting. I’m using two quick clamps and have a board running underneath of clamp flat…so far so good.
