I’m getting married this year so I thought it would be fun to make a wishing well for the reception to serve a couple purposes. 1) To be used to put cards in and 2) Instead of having a guest book all of our friends and family will sign the well, and tell a small story if they would like. :) Then we’ll have something special to remember and have a few good laughs at the stories our friends tell.
The well is made of western red cedar, the card slot is held on top with pocket holes and the spindle is two glued pieces laminated together and then sawed to make a hex/circle. Don’t mind the one pic from the side….I took the picture before I cut the length of strapping off that wasn’t needed.
Enjoy and thanks for looking.
