This steamer trunk was built for a Naval Officer for his retirement. It was designed around his sword which will hang from a cradle on the underside of the lid. The trunk is made of poplar with curly and quilted maple veneers. The interior compartments are made of claro walnut and aromatic cedar.

A nice design and great work too. The wood is quite eye catching. I wish we had been able to see the interior too.
