I rarely do commission work but this individual has been a longtime neighbor. They have a set of cameos and wanted to display them. Their living room furniture came as a set and they were unable to find a matching styled display table.
I sketched the rooms furniture and after several models was able to achieve a prototype they liked. I was told by the neighbor this was called a cigarette table. I am unsure of that.
The challenge was creating the legs with their mortise, filigree, chamfered edges, and so on.

great table. I’ve always wanted to make a table like this. Best way to display a cool collection.

There certainly is detail in the legs. Nicely done.
