Dog Bowl Holder

I thought it would be nice to give our dog a little stand for her bowls. I have read it helps them digest better, etc… This was my first project using my kreg jig I recently bought off craigs list. Although this is not furniture, it is the first thing I have designed without a plan.

Not super happy with the finish. This is the first thing I have stained, and also learned that staining pine is no fun! I did use a pre stain, but still experienced some blotchiness. I have a lot to learn in the finishing department!

Anyway I was happy with the project, and also got to use my router to round over the top! It gave me some confidence to maybe use some nicer wood and possibly build some end tables.

Thanks for checking out! The last picture is my dog trying it out pre stain, she liked it!

Nice job. I have an aunt who had her dog bowls out of silver.

Looks good. All of us try to learn and improve on every project we do.

Great Job! I really like the little finishing touches, mine is pretty rough compare to yours.

Even if you don’t think so, I think that the stain did come out good.

Have your say...
