Made this potpourri box for my friend at work and his wife .Box is made out of bubinga and walnut with two coats of 50/50 mineral spirits and pure tung oil. Box is 3/4 bubinga and top is 1/4 walnut . This box made me take out the sroll saw I have that I have not touched in over ten years . And judging from the text message I got from my friends wife see loved the box. Thanks for looking and all commentsare welcome.

That is a nice looking box. Would the middle of the box crack if someone put their finger in the middle of the ‘X’?
I suppose the scroll saw kerf is not wide enough to be a problem…

Nice box, and pretty damn good scroll saw work for 10 years not touched

-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.

Philip never had a problem with somebody pressing to hard on the middle of the top to break it . My wife and mom have had one of this boxes over ten years and no problems.

Have your say...
