This was a slab of raw edge oregon malpe that I picked up on a wood hunting trip around Portland. I put in a wenge bowtie to fix crack, also mixed up some sawdust and epoxy to fill a few bad spots. The base is made of 8/4 ash with gloss black lacquer, the top has 4 coats of gloss poly. Thanks, Bob

Wow, I like that table. It reminds me of a project of contrasts. The raw top and sculpted legs, the clear finish against the black paint, the cracked top and the symetrical base. Real nice, thanks for sharing.
