These are a couple of recent turnings. I have been playing around with ca glue for a finish. It is the new Stickfast. Both the hollowforms are ambrosia maple, and have been sanded and finished with the ca glue. The largest hollowform is about 10” tall and the smaller is around5”+-. Comments are welcome.

Nice turning, how long did it take
-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.

About 1 hour to apply the finish on the small one. About the same for the turning. The larger one took a lot longer due to the learning curve.

Very nice.
I’m not sure what it is but when you see the pictures of these turnings individually they don’t seem to be as dramatic as when they are placed together. Perhaps it is the size and shape difference or the dark feature of the smaller turning that blends them together. Either way I say they need to be displayed together at all times.

Nice. I’ve used CA on pens but not on anything bigger. What do you do different on larger pieces? I love ambrosia maple.
