Compass Rose Wall Clock

Breaking from the airplane rocker projects, but staying with a nautical theme, here is a compass rose wall clock. It measures about 34” in diameter and fills a cross space on a high, four window wall. The cardinal direction pointers are walnut and cherry and the intermediate are padauk. Painted baltic plywood provides the supporting frame. It takes an extra moment or two to decide what time it reads (due north is easy, etc.) which makes it somewhat of a novelty.

I love it. Great job. Would you mind if I take that idea and run with it for a desk clock??? Looks like a fun project. Thanks for showing.

Well done. I agree with you. A person could be early or late if not careful….................

John T. – Thanks, and be my guest. Look forward to seeing what you have in mind for a compass style desk clock.

Gary,

I naturally light up when I see a design like this. I am an Airdale myself and I would love to design something like this for my own use. Love the combination of woods. Great job.
