A couple of years ago my brother found a piece of 3”x6”x10’ some kind of oak floating in the ocean. He brought it home and used part of it and a couple of months ago brought me a piece of it. I cut off a section and made this candle holder/bowl. I made it double level so two sizes of candles would fit in it.

Good idea,

I sometime make Beeswax candles (when time allows) never considered dual purpose.

Thanks for the comments. My DIL was talking about a large candle holder she had and wished she could put the smaller candles in it and they stay centered. We were talking after I had made the holder for the large candle so I put it back on the lathe and turned the center smaller hole.
