Both in furniture and turning, I have begun exploring smooth and textured surfaces juxtaposed together; also incorporating minimally altered natural objects. This tea cannister is one of a series and is textured and sculpted both inside and out. Composed of cherry and willow.

I agree with Steve about the “feel” I’m thinking it looks like an ancient treasure find that’s been well preserved for centuries!
But i know it’s not and I think it’s a keepsake for sure!

I like the design, Scott, especially the carving around the lid. Very well done! Just out of curiosity, how big/small is it?
