Maple and Cherry Recipe Box

My wife wanted a new recipe box so I put this together for her.
I used maple and cherry. I did a maple and cherry inlay for the top and gave it a few coats of Danish Oil.
It’s twice the size of her old over stuffed recipe box! She said “Wow! I love it”! Hope you like it too! :)

That lid is gorgeous, and I like the picture showing the way the oil brings out the color and grain. I’m sure it will become a prized family heirloom, filled with Mom’s recipes. Great job!

Nicely done. I enjoy do this type of box tops with a design. You did it well.
