Didn’t have nothing going on the other day so I got a cedar limb about 2”+- x 6”-7” long and put it on the lathe. With nothing in mind to make I started turning. This is what came out. This is my first goblet.

It isn’t finished yet. My wife is the finisher. What would be good to use to finish cedar with?

I have had good luck using Doublebubble 5 min epoxy inside if you intend to use it, and veg oil outside. There is no after taste after curing.

It won’t ever be used. If you look close in the exploded view you will see a crack. There is one oon the other side too. The piece of wood wasn’t dried enough yet I don’t think. Does the vegy oil let the smell come through?

Sorry, I do like it, but I seem to get overly critical sometimes, my apologies
